ABOUT

This has been my view since 2003, when I started my first remote WFH job.
Some 20 years later, I’m still here but I have better equipment and skills.

Valesa Clouse

Hello, NICE TO MEET YOU

As you can see from the clutter around my desk, I spend most of my time sitting here. Usually about 16 hours a day. Why, you may ask… because I love it. I love everything about it. I love the learning, mastering new skills, improving on the way I did things before, I love the challenge of taking my skills to new heights.

When I started working with computers in 1995, I also started mentoring new users. I developed both skills along the way. I enjoy seeing someone’s eyes light up when they figure out it’s not as hard as they thought it was. So, I started a Blog to share all the things I have learned and teach those skills to as many people as the Internet can reach. The second benefit is that by blogging I am documenting the training, sharing best practices and the best products to get the job done.

What about the training?

One set of my training is called, “Just Show Me How:”. This training is for those who don’t want to be an expert they just want to finish the task they are working on. Or, for those who use this software 6 months ago and forgot how to do ______.

Then there are those who want to be an expert, but the training is so overwhelming they can’t find a good place to start. I firmly believe the best way to learn any software is just to use it. Therefore, my training ranges from the “I know nothing” set to the “well now that you are a skilled user let’s learn the advanced stuff”.

Then there is the mentoring side. I look forward to being that person you ask for help when Google has failed you. You have searched and searched but you are not sure what question to ask, so find nothing to help. Read through the list of software below and email me when you need help with any of them. I will be your mentor.

My love for travel was developed at the age of 16 and I am still planning my next trip at 60. I have managed to travel to 30 states and am working toward all 50. I am not physically able to hike, climb mountains, or even walk across deserts. But this doesn’t stop me from traveling and I hope it never does. I have started researching traveling on Amtrak and I am excited about my first trip. My travel blog is a way for me to share the great trip my family I love to make.

I wrote my first Bible study in 1998 and published my first book in 2013. I have seven books for sale on Amazon. BibleStudy2go.com combines two things I love: teaching and Bible Study. The site contains free Bible Study material for online viewing or download. The purpose of this study material is to place resources in your hands to go into all the world and teach the Gospel. You are welcome to download and use the Word documents and the PowerPoints as they are or edit them to suit your needs. I plan to start a cValesaBibleStudy.com blog soon.

A little about me personally

I am about to say hello to sixty. I am single by choice and plan to stay that way. I was married for 20 years and have two of the best daughters in the world. I faithfully attend Iron Hill Pentecostal Church. My church family includes some of the best people I know. I work for HCA Healthcare as an Instructional Designer, and I love my work.

In 2022 I started painting again. In 1983, I had carpel tunnel surgery on both hands, and I lost the control needed to do fine work like painting or needle point. I decided to give both a try and found that God had healed me somewhere along the way, without me noticing. Victoria bought me the ship in the bottle. It is so beautiful and huge! I am still working on it. I told her my needle point proves I have the patience to stab something 60,001 times. I have proof.

The painting for the kitchen is almost done. I want to add our favorite family recipe for Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies to the cookbook. My handwriting is horrible, and I am afraid of messing it up. I will just have to bite the bullet and do it one day.

Tiffany Clouse

My oldest daughter and constant traveling companion. We have a goal to hit all 50 states. Nova Scotia, Scotland, Ireland, and England are also on our bucket list. The only thing she loves about her computer is that she can read books on it while she is playing a game.

Adryian Bowers

My grandson and the joy of my life. I love to show him new places to love. My favorite words are, “Granny where are we going next?” Adryian has love to watch me working on graphics since he was a baby. I expect great things out of him, but it will probably be on the gaming side. 🙂

Victoria & Thomas Bowers

My sweet baby daughter and my most precious son in love. Victoria is my “you can do it” coach in all things.

Thomas loves computer and gaming. He will be helping me out with gaming post and latest and greatest hardware on the market.

YOGI

And then there is Yogi. Yogi is a Yorkie and Shitz Shu mix. He was born in September 2020, and he is still very much a puppy. He runs around the house as fast as he can and loves it when us humans get up to play with him.
